Mr. Mark Tomecko earned a Bachelor's degree in History from Baldwin-Wallace College (Berea, OH) in 1999.  He earned a Master's degree in American History from the University of Akron in 2012.  His Master's thesis is entitled, Jumping Ship: The Decline of Black Republicanism in the Era of Theodore Roosevelt, 1901-1908. 

Before joining the Green High School faculty in 2006, Mr. Tomecko taught at Holy Name High School and Fairview High School in the Greater Cleveland area.   At GHS, he teaches AP U.S. History, AP U.S. Government and Politics, American Government, The American Presidency, and Current Issues & Events.  He has a Comprehensive Social Studies teaching license with certifications in History, Political Science, and Psychology/Sociology.  Mr. Tomecko is currently chairman of the Social Studies Department.
