Each year, the Social Studies Department awards its top honor to one male student and one female student in the graduating class.
The award recognizes those students who have displayed exceptional effort and skill in their social studies classes throughout high school. The winners receive a certificate of commendation and (since 2011) a book chosen by the Social Studies department faculty.
