THE 3-STAGE STUDY PLANStage 1: General Review
Five to seven days before a unit test (around the time of the mid-unit quiz) is a good time to do a general review of major vocabulary, concepts, and other material that could be on the test. Students can review their notes, re-read key sections in the text, read relevant sections in test-prep books, watch online videos, or visit some of the sites linked below. The goal of Stage 1 is to do a general review of all important material as early as possible and before beginning to practice with multiple choice (which is Stage 2). Quizlet Our Quizlet site includes definitions of every key term you will need to know for class quizzes and tests. Use this site to play study games and take practice quizzes. Search for other existing AP Government note cards here. AP Study Notes Contains a wealth of information, including vocabulary, chapter and topic outlines, timelines, important documents, practice tests, and a list of commonly-asked question topics. Course-Notes.org Site includes course notes, outlines, practice quizzes, and other helpful resources. Videos Visit the Web Links page for helpful study videos from Khan Academy, Crash Course, and more. Stage 2: Practice Two to three days before a unit test (shortly after the mid-unit quiz) is a good time to practice with multiple-choice questions. Students can use the practice questions in the test-prep book provided at the beginning of the school year, the resources linked and listed below, as well as the links to the right of this page. The goal of Stage 2 is to spend time thinking about as many multiple-choice questions as you can, carefully reading passages, considering what each question is asking, and determining why each answer choice is either right or wrong. Students should make note of any topic or idea they still do not understand, so they can then investigate that material further (in Stage 3). AP Classroom AP-caliber practice materials, including multiple choice questions, from the College Board. You must log-in using your account. Khan Academy Several short sets of multiple choice questions. You should create a free account to track your progress. Note: Numerous review and test-prep books, with 1000s of AP U.S. Government multiple-choice questions, are available in the GHS library. Ask the librarians for help in locating these resources. Stage 3: "Stuff I Don't Know" (SIDK) In the final day or two before a unit test students should review the vocabulary, topics and concepts they made note of in Stage 2. If necessary, they can also ask about these items in class. If a student completes all three stages of study, he/she should feel very confident taking any unit test as well as the AP exam in May!

MULTIPLE CHOICEThe test-prep book (pictured below) provided at the beginning of the school year is a great resource for practice multiple-choice questions.
To access AP Classroom resources, you will need the code given at the start of the school year.
Khan Academy resource pages include three different sets of questions: Practice, Quiz, and Unit Test. Use all three. The Sets below may contain "new" (stimulus-based) or "old" style questions. Both are helpful for identifying items you need to study. Unit 1: American Constitutional Government
